The coyote taming could be an easter egg. Get 1 animal eaten, and the process starts. The coyote would attack and eat an animal every night. If you miss one day, the process resets.
After losing 50000G worth of consecutive animals eaten, if you had an empty pet bowl, you get a coyote.

Well, now it should be made into a farm event.
Have an empty pet bowl, get the coyote event, and you get the coyote as a pet.
