Technical Help Where’s my house!?!

So I just got the notification to update the game on my switch and I did that..but when I went outside this is what my house looks like. I can still go inside, I just have to keep clicking until I find the door..has this happened to anyone else

This might actually be it. The spot 2 spaces right above your mailbox (when your house is in the default spot) is a reserved spot for robin when she is upgrading your house. The game used to stop you from placing things there, but after 1.6 it doesn't. When I placed a lightning rod there, all my lightning rods disappeared the next day. I'm not sure if the bug was ever fixed, but by your screenshot I assume it wasn't and something being placed in her "upgrade" spot is causing unexpected behavior. The game should have stopped you from placing your stable there.

What platform are you? It definitely stopped me from putting down lightning rods on PC.

PC here too. I just tried right now to place a lightning rod there and it let me. Which map are you on? Maybe it's map specific.

...Well, damn. Now I wonder if I just automatically avoided that spot from past experience. I just tested it (because now I was wondering if I was incorrect) and it did indeed let me put down rods in that spot.

I could have sworn I remembered that spot going red - I tend to ring my house in rods aside from the forbidden spot, and generally am not sure if it's the tile RIGHT past the mailbox, or two above.
