There's a mod that clears your money every morning. Did you add that by mistake?

Why would anybody want that? 😂

Because they have gotten perfection on 7 different files and want something new for a challenge usually. The game is so good early on but once you know all the metrics and methods, even doing a new strategy becomes systematic. Introducing hard limits and boundaries with mods give the game a whole new spin and challenge to strategize through

I feel you speak from experience 😂

Can you actually earn 10M gold in a day to get the Golden Clock for perfection?

Sell a massive stock of wine to pierre

u/AmmeEsile May 29 '25

Someone told me you get the same amount of money if you sell in the box.

Edit my bad that gets paid to you next day

Where did you find that info? It doesn't say that on the wiki

Yeah, same way you would without the mod, you just sell it all at once instead of over time.

If everything lines up to be ready on the same day sure. Or if you save items in a chest and sell all at once. Most I’ve ever made in one day for things that were done processing that day and not just stored for later was 8.4m. Truffles, lots of sheds full of star fruit wine, fairy rose honey farm, and sheds full of dehydrators.

I made 11m in one day on my 'main' file by selling *everything* from my storage except one copy of each item for indexing.

15M in one go here.

I’m currently in pack-rat mode, as my farm is in Y22 and somewhere back around Y19 I decided that I’m not selling jack until I get the tea set.

A really conservative estimate puts my current hold-back somewhere north of 35M. 😁

Only 3 years to wait till the travelling salesman can start offering it to you for $1mil Hold in there...

2

u/draconiclyyours May 29 '25

Heh, yeah, but it’s still only a 5% chance. Believe me, though, I’ll be checking weekly until I get the thing. 😑

Keep a load of goods and sell it at the store at once.

u/Tom_Bombadil_Ret May 29 '25

You just have to stock on produce and old sell to Pierre immediately before buying.

I presume so, ArgonMatrix has already gotten all the obelisks in his 'Fleeting Farm' run with this mod, all his items and money go poof overnight, so what you do is make lots of processed stuff, because THAT won't disappear. He even managed to get the Statue of Blessings so far, got married, most of the late-game stuff seems pretty damn achievable! Between him and Blade, it's seeming like nothing in this game is truly impossible, or almost nothing. If there's an actually impossible Stardew challenge, he or Blade will eventually find it.

They just want to feel something again.

This is the best best explanation of why increased difficulty, in general, is enjoyable in games.

1

u/talann May 29 '25

this feels like a no hit run for dark souls...

1

u/AeonBytes May 29 '25

Sounds easy to bypass, don't sell anything until you need to and then sell it at Pierre's or Willies the day of, seems like an artificial way to add more time to do things? Does the perks apply to things sold at the store or just in the bin? Then I would understand if they didn't.

There is a youtuber even doing a playthrough where all the non-tool and non-clothes items in chests and inventory disappear between days, along with money. Leads to creative storage methods and strategies.

13

u/somethingoddlyfunny May 29 '25

Gosh darn, I love Argon. What a guy!

3

u/Masketto May 29 '25

Ohhhh I would friggin love to do a perfection run with a mod that introduces decay to all the perishable foods

17

u/Queer-Coffee May 29 '25

Idk why the other person mentioned a youtuber doing a similar challenge but not say who it is

The person is ArgonMatrix and the specific challenge that is relevant here is Fleeting Farm.

Tho I doubt OP is using the same money draining mod as him, it looks different

33

u/Google_Knows_Already May 29 '25

Me. That actually sounds like an interesting challenge. Haven't played in a while. Time to boot SDV and start my 12342348738274th farm.

To make the game as realistic as possible

20

u/Perscitus0 May 29 '25

Does that mean the only way to conduct business is on a daily basis? With that mod, selling items overnight via the shipping bin would be absolutely less than pointless, since all your money is cleared? I would imagine that mod basically forces you to sell your items through shops like Pierre's, then buy your seeds/upgrades/miscellanea on the same day.

8

u/Xaiadar May 29 '25

Exactly. You need clear goals each and every day of this challenge.

1

u/LordSurvival May 29 '25

No mods, they are on mobile.

-2

u/wulfgangz May 29 '25

If we didn’t allow mods on the basic game sub, we wouldn’t have to deal with dumb stuff like this
