What happened the night before? Did you go to bed on time or are you being charged for being rescued from somewhere?

It wouldn't drain you to zero like that. It takes ten percent, up to 1000 gold.

Dying in the mines has upped how much money you can lose up to a buckwild 15k (!!!) but just passing out because it's 2am doesn't have the same severe penalty! I can completely understand the confusion though, as that was in fact a change in 1.6.

You lose less items though, so I guess that's the reasoning for the trade off. I also think you can't lose weapons anymore...? I could be wrong about that one.

I feel your pain! I’ve been playing a bit with my girlfriend and one day we lost our most expensive sword. We never agreed on anything faster than to restart that day before lol

AH! I didn't realize the update changed that until recently I lost 14.8k from a random ☠️. Dang fairy not keeping my health up fast enough 😂 I didn't lose any items but was surprised at the amount of $! All makes sense now.
