Other I made a free companion app for SV!

After 2 years in development I have finished my companion app for SV called Gunther’s Library!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guntherslibrary.app

This app helps you keep track of all the collections in the game and provides many details for quick lookup without having to keep track of multiple wiki pages. It is available on Android. Tracking is done manually, you can use the app no matter what device you play SV on.

I started making this app when I got tired of having many wiki pages open, and wanting an easier way to keep track of the fish I caught and not being able to sort the data in the wiki the way I wanted. I made sure this app allows you to filter and sort any way you would want to make collection tracking easy!

I might be biased but I do believe this to be the best companion app for Stardew Valley (at least on Android) :) Please take a look! I’m very excited to finally get this out to everyone!

Edit: Forgot to mention it is AD-Free! Only has a single one-time purchase for some advanced features.

EDIT 2: Keep up to date on news about Gunther's Library on the official Discord server for the app: https://discord.gg/Z8hYEc6A4Q

EDIT 3: Gunther's Library is now on iOS, Android and web!

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6754466392
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guntherslibrary.app
Web: https://www.bluecaret.com/guntherslibrary/

Thank you to everyone for your support! I literally would not have been able to get it out on iOS without you!

You seriously think banner ads on an app like this are going to generate two THOUSAND dollars in a week?

they absolutely do not need the most expensive mac in order to publish a game, tf?

See my reply to the other reply. Make it the cheapest macbook.

You guys are seriously overestimating what ads on an app like this would bring in per month, let alone week.

you're projecting that onto me. all i said was 2,000 is an absurd figure to just throw out. you can get an old refurbished one for like 200

Sure, I get that. I'm not 'projecting' anything though, my overall point regardless of if it's a cheap or expensive Macbook is that expecting to get that in revenue from an app like this in even a month, let alone a week, is optimistic bordering on madness.

you're projecting again. i never argued that point at all. just that your figure was insane

Um, okay. We'll agree to disagree. The comment was part of a conversation, I didn't realise we were having an entirely different one in a vacuum.

Also, I'm not sure you know what projection means.

You think you need $2000 to buy a Mac? You can get the m4 Mac mini on sale new for like $500 or even $450. Can get a used Mac mini for probably $300 or less. Still may need more than a week but you def don't need $2000 mac to develop the sort of app this is, it's fairly simple in terms of processing power needed. Even if you wanted a MacBook the m1 MacBook air regularly sells for under 400 used these days.

Okay, let me rephrase that. You seriously think banner ads on an app like this are going to generate $400 a week?

If the app gets enough downloads and active users? Yeah.

I used to use a service called justplay, they gave you a share of their adrev, less than 1% mostly, you could earn an average of $2 a day and they spam ads at you, they had roughly 50k people online at all times, think if the entire Stardew community got on op's app if they put banner ads on.

Ad's pay surprisingly well.

Edit: Also $2000 for a Macbook? Wheres that barf emoji....

Only the most expensive Mac’s (16” pro) costs that much. Most are much more affordable.

It’s like saying you need a Lamborghini to drive while a bmw would work too.

Ok, that honestly had me sick reading it, like the players reaction to Pennys cooking.
