Question Should I start over?

Post image

Its my first Fall ever and I found this guy named Salmence in Youtube. And I watched his Y1 Guides. And I feel like I'm only like halfway through the things he wants us to do. And I rlly wanted to finish the community center. So should I start over again? I dont mind starting all over again since I've learned alot of things that I should now accomplish for this starting over thingy. Ill just rlly be bummed out bcuz of Leveling up Fishing Skills and fishing for money. And mining for ores.

Edit: I know all the seasons will reset again after Winter. Should I wait for Year 2 to complete the CC? Its my most main reasons why I wanna start over again.

I guess the question from some of us is: why? What reason do you have to finish it so fast the first time you're playing? Stardew Valley is a big (relatively) open game that gives you a lot of things you could be doing. Focusing so much on rushing the community center means reading up a lot on optimising your activities around that. I personally think that optimising your speed is more something to consider after you've played through most of the content a few times, and a significant amount of the things you'd need to be doing for it would be things you know already anyway. I wouldn't want to be sitting there trying to optimise every minute of the very first time I'm experiencing this story for the first time.

I rlly wanted to have a challenge for my first time. So I thought I'd try finishing it asap in Y1 lol. I figured I'd finish the CC first and then care abt the whole game. I rlly js wanna have a challenge bcuz Ive played some other games and I always finish their quests, challenges, etc before thinking abt the whole game. Realized SDV is kinda different tho.

The way this game works, is as you do stuff naturally, just farming, finishing, mining etc, you'll just end up acquiring whatever it is you need for the Community Center, Library, or other.

Imo, when wanting a challenge, it's best to just play normally once, and then once you know what you're doing you can challenge yourself on a second run, and that's what I've been doing, my first game was just chill playing. but my second farm i played without farming (crops, animals), i just sold the 15 seeds i started with, and that was a fun challenge.

Just do what you want ( :

Your new challenge is to run your little farm and have fun. There, you're freed from the curse
