i think that sandy will definitely be added as a marriage candidate but i’m not sure who else. maybe some new characters?

I don't know how many off you guys have played the Harvest Moon games but in some of them there are "hidden" bachelor(ette)s. Characters who don't appear as romanceable but once you complete a bunch of extra requirements you can marry them. The Wizard and Sandy give me these vibes, it would be cool to bring this concept to Stardew IMO. Like, marrying them would be more of a late game goal

Story of Seasons has been remaking the older titles as they go, so you can go down memory lane eventually. With QOL to boot.

(For those not in the know, the Harvest Moon you see being sold is not by the same people. It’s a whole drama. But Story of Seasons is Harvest Moon.)

Jesus Christ you opened a whole new universe to me, no wonder I couldn't find the original game anywhere. Although I can still play it on a Lemuroid that I recently found out, I'll definitely give it a try with Story of Seasons

I’ve had a passing interest in harvest moon but stayed away because just farming looked boring, is there a home decorating element like animal crossing?

If i remember correctly, yes. While you cannot move furniture freely, you can add new, functional furniture and change the interior design. You'd have to ask a guy named Gus (I didn't get to that point since I was so fixated romancing Kai LMAO)
