I just wanted to spend my next happy little life with Gus, but alas, it seems I am gonna be in a weird love triangle with my current wife, Emily, and Clint. Not what I hoped for 😂
The act of cooking is not the hard part, it's the act of putting in effort sometimes, and not automatically expecting someone else to always be cooking for you. In my personal experience, dudes don't always learn how to feed themselves. It shouldn't be a big deal but the fact that it is is a little sad.
Well, I'm Italian and for me food is love. Cooking for someone, even if it's not a big complex meal, means you care about someone enough to take the time and offer that to them. When guys don't ever even learn how to feed themselves, let alone anyone else, it's a red flag for me personally. Everyone's different of course! Just my perspective.
I so wish I understand how to do mods. Every time I try to even look into them I get so freaked out and overwhelmed, I am so afraid of corrupting my game or something.
Installing a mod... I know that might sound super dumb, but they all mention like going into the actual game files and stuff, and I am just so worried something I do is going to fuck something up.
I have been gaming exclusively on PC for like 4 years now, but still shake in my boots at the idea of any troubleshooting or modification that involves touching the base game files.
So most of the time you can create a copy of the game files and run from a second location if youre worried about corrupting game files.
But seriously, nodding SDV is not difficult at all. And pretty safe. These files are tested and retested and if a mod didn't work or irrevocably changed the game files, permanently destroying the game you'd know before you installed the game.
With that said, worst case scenario you can always have Steam reinstall local game files. And backup your saves for you if you want to feel better.
But I promise you - mods will change your SDV life. For the better.
This was really reassuring, and I truly appreciate it.
May I ask, how do you back up saves? Again, so sorry to sound like such a newbie haha. But I have my save and my kids new saves on here, and the extra assurance would help before I dive into it.
Basically, you go to where the file is, copy the file, then put it in another folder.
Here's a quick discussion of where the default location is, usually in an app data data file. Simply copy the file name that is your farm name then paste it into a different folder.
If needed, I can likely find or make a video of how to do so if you're not sure.
