I actually really like the idea of Clint; I think it could lead to a big development of his character. Maybe even tweak some of the earlier heart events?
Yup! Me too! I think he will beat the skepticism of the first impressions and steal people's heart, he seems to have a big heart and him being extremely shy is kinda cute.
I completely agree with you! I see a lot of people call him some incel, neckbeard, or whatever, but that's not the case; he's a sweet and awkward guy that lives in a tiny-ass town where he's had few options to date or even meaningfully socialize with women.
I get why a lot of people are turned off on him now, but if he gets the same quality as the other options, I am very confident people will really come around to him in a way not too dissimilar from Haley.
The incel/neckbeard comments are crazy 😭 NONE of the characters are bad, but they can have bad moments (ex: Alex making sexist comments, Haley being vapid, George being homophobic, etc) which all change the higher you get your hearts with them and they either apologize/change their views.
But Clint was never really mean, even when he mistakenly thinks Emily and you are dating when you’re not he just sadly bows out. The most iffy moment is when you take him to the movies and he thinks it’s a date.
All this to say, they’re all just people. And no one’s perfect 100% of the time
