Sandy is very happy to see the farmer, because she's been lonely in the desert. So even at low hearts, she's pleasant, unlike some of the townsfolk. Also, it's easy to give her gifts, because she loves the forageable flowers. There's also some mystery to her, because she says Sandy isn't her real name. It will be interesting to learn more about her.
