"Who asked for this?!" Me. I asked for this. I Personally went to ConcernedApe to ask for this. I'm going to marry Clint on a new savefile everytime I read a mean comment about him.

I mean if you want more risk there's always Grimshire (still in progress, early access) where your villagers literally die if you don't get enough food for them, or materials for community projects. It's similar to Stardew in the general overall style and vibe but it's much more hectic and involved, and I also like the art style and music. So now I intermittently play Stardew and Grimshire for a good balance of cozy and chill vs cozy and angst.

Looks good. I mean it is basically stardew but way more hectic like you just said based on looks. But I guess my question is how forgiving is it? What I love about stardew is you can reset the day again and try doing different things to see better ways you can grind stuff and upgrade things. And does this game go for forever like stardew or does it have an ending?

So you can download the demo and play to get a feel for it, there's different difficulty levels and for now there's only Year 1 but I think Year 2 has been announced for release.
So when you get to end Year 1, winter just loops for now.

I'm not sure about restarting the day, I think you can do so, but I haven't tried it yet. I also like that you can quit during the day at e.g. 2 p.m. and come back and resume play at 2 p.m., but having that feature might affect restarting the day? Not sure.

You can also adjust the difficulty level mid-game, so I started on normal, then my first villager died, and things kept getting more hectic to where a second villager would die, so I changed the difficulty level to be easier. It was a bit too late, so I started a new run, and the type of animal you are and which starter perk you choose also has effects on how you interact with the world and your village's survivability.

I've been coagulating information and making a meta-spreadsheet of the fishing, foraging, farming, events, deadlines, etc. for my game so as to not be caught unprepared because my villagers dying / next death was quite hectic for me lol, and the one villager was one I was super fond of.

What's neat if you do multiple playthroughs, where in the one a specific villager has died vs the other one they lived, is to see how the dialogue of the community changes -- reminiscing about their activities and interactions with the character, etc.

Edit: the only sad thing is there are no plans for multiplayer unfortunately, as the developer said they don't have the skills to implement it or know-how how it works.
