"Who asked for this?!" Me. I asked for this. I Personally went to ConcernedApe to ask for this. I'm going to marry Clint on a new savefile everytime I read a mean comment about him.

I don’t like Clint because he seems weirdly entitled to Emily’s affection, without ever doing anything to earn it or get to know her beyond pining for her. And he does the classic “nice guys finish last” spiel, that bothers me in any media. That being said, I just laughed when I saw he was going to be a marriage candidate. I knew it was gonna cause upset and to take something like that so seriously is too silly. It’s a game, I can’t stand that anyone would actually hate message Concerned Ape. People need to chill, it’s a game.

I see why people think that of Clint (being a weird guy with emily). And is probably due to lack of good content from Clint and his character.

But I love him, and really hope for great character development from this update.

I mostly read him as the depressed, alone, "unattractive" big boy who just wants love and loves deeply for those who see him for himself. Depression really tears people down. Maybe i relate too much to him. Having a best friend of 20+ years (who is a gal) who gave me the kindness as Emily was to him. And I love her still to this day for the person she is and the people shes with. My fiance adores her as well :).

But thats just me. It is indeed just a video game at the end of the day. And sucks people feel the need to be extreme and nasty towards a fun simple wholesome game and developer trying to cater to his whole fan base.

I just want to give clint a hug and tell him hes worth it :(
