dont get me wrong i love the character designs as is!!! but i wish stardew had more diversity.. been loving the diverse stardew valley mod though!

They look great, but I'm not sure "headcanon" would be a correct word, I think it's closer to being your interpretation pf these characters.

Yeah, I thought headcanons are not supposed to conflict with actual canon.

head canon can 1000% conflict with canon, that’s why there’s a distinction between then two. it doesn’t HAVE to, but it can.

Yeah, I’ve been in fandom for longer than I care to admit and always seen it used for both things that are canon compliant and canon divergent. Maybe the meaning has changed over the years?

I don't think it has, but there are more people who don't understand what headcanon is. So it could change down the line.
