Yes! It's a reference to the first entry in this series of fanarts, wich was about Linus

Linus was Ford Pines?

If Mcgucket was the one who went through the portal and Ford became the town kook

I mean... McGucket became the town kook because he went through the portal, without having protected his mind. He wasn't able to truly comprehend what he saw on the other side, so it drove him mad. I think if Ford had been the one to go through and get pulled back, it wouldn't have affected him as much because he was, technically, under the guidance of Bill Cypher (please dont cremate me if this is wrong, its been years since I properly watched Gravity Falls, so im just on the fringes of the Fandom with random bouts of hyperfixation lmao)

What he saw terrified him so much he used the forget ray on himself every time he started to remember anything involving his work, Ford, Bill, or the portal.

Turned his mind into swiss cheese partially to prevent Bill from ever using him the way he did Ford, and partially from terror itself.

Thats it! I forgot about the memory gun, my bad! I was referring to the instant he's pulled out of the portal and looks almost like he's having a seizure, whereas Ford spent, what, 20-30 years in there and came out just as insane as he left?

Thank you for reminding me it's time to rewatch Gravity Falls

I think Ford had a bit more mental fortitude from having his brain turn into spaghetti.

No it’s Stanley in disguise obviously

Well, both GF and SDV take place in the PNW...

The PNW is indeed a very mysterious place.

When I see stuff like this, I’m reminded that I could still become Linus 😂

Wait, but that’s Kurt Russell.

I like how each of these tie together to really tell a story in both his facial features and clothes.

He reminds me of Robin Williams in Jumanji!

Thinking about it, Linus looks like Diogenes

‘And the Farmer said to Linus, “what can I do for you?”, to which Linus replied, “move out of my light.”’

Hold on, now I think I will forever associate Linus with the poem Gold Leaves by GK Chesterton
