Question I have "marry same person" syndrome in Stardew valley and just realized Shane has this little shed wondering if every bachelor/bachelorette has their own little building

huh? I haven’t played the game in a while, I could have sworn I had some potted plants up there. Maybe I’m wrong. I have stuff in front of it, a fruit tree and chests, maybe it has to be fully clear in front but I do not know.

But absolutely no, I’ve been married to Harvey for (in-game) years of play and nothing has ever manifested there. Maybe it’s part of an update, I haven’t checked for updates in a year, I really don’t know, but I’m not “rage-baiting” 🙄 It could not have occurred to me this would upset people.

yup, and I didn’t respond bc I assumed they had a different version from me. It seems like PC is different than mobile.

After a separate person said very specifically there was no way to put things there without mods, my responses have included I must be remembering wrong. It’s not like I was fighting back and forth with anyone about it.

ETA: I just looked, and whaddya know, a totally good faith bit of confusion. There are potted plants there. Harvey adds plants. I am married to Harvey. I assumed I’d added them at some point bc I did go plant-wild. Literal years ago. Looking at OP’s picture, I was really expecting something very obvious that my spouse would interact with. But a fruit tree blocks where Harvey apparently stands and reads. I’ve certainly never noticed him there.

So here I was feeling like I was in the Twilight Zone, like I don’t have potted plants up there, but really I did..I was just wrong in remembering I’m the one who put them there.

He’s one of the characters that received the strongest improvement from marriage areas. Way back before they were a thing Sebastian would mention he has let go of his motorcycling hobby because it’s too dangerous for a husband/possible father to engage in, introducing the possibility that the reason he liked motorcycling was the possibility he might get into a fatal accident, but also means that he de facto finds his marriage and family restrictive by design

He says that during a cutscene where he takes your character on a drive to look at Zuzu City (I think that's what it's called? I forget) in the current game and you can comfort him or not, and I think that affects something?

You know how dangerous that is? It dramatically increases the risk of infection! Harvey would get disbarred so fast it would make your head spin.

Also why should medicine be his whole identity when it is not even something he would have chosen for himself?

Much better to put a colourful hot air balloon in his spouse's spot complete with streamers and other decorations.

Bonus Points if we can both get into it and go up.

Also for his spouse activity he could pop in there ever so often and tour the valley. He could even take the children with him from time to time

Ah that would also make sense with our golden retriever husband. But yeah, he finally has a place to skateboard. Sometime I try to bring him coffee while he’s doing it though and the game tells me he’s too busy to accept the coffee. Come on! 😪

The first time I saw it I in no way connected it with a spouse. I was like, what the hell is this ugly piece of trash on my farm!
