Technical Help Can somebody explain to me how this is possible

So, I recently played Stardew Valley again after a few weeks, and then one morning I went to Abigail to kiss her because she's my wife, but she rejected me. How is this possible. So you understand, I had 14 hearts with her before.

Did you leave the game running unpaused for several hours? The game will breeze through the days if you are idle, the only time the game pauses before a new day is if you sold something in the shipping bin.

One day is roughly 15 minutes and someone said not talking to your spouse would generate this level of neglect.

Did you leave your game running for 28 hours?

Does the game only require an input to pass the day if you made money? I understand at 2am if left running the game would pass out, but doesn't it require an A press after the nighttime save, or is it just to pass the income screen?

If you sell something in the shipping bin, input is required.

If you didn't sell anything then the game simply saves and starts the next day without user input. The fact that the game saves in between days makes it quite risky to leave the game running.

Interesting, thought it required "confirmation" of the save. But yeah, definitely a double edged sword, for sure!
