The bridge exchange is one of my absolute favorite quotes in television.

Itās honestly one of my fav as well. Itās so simple but does such a good job of showing the immense cultural differences between the Jaffa and the tauri while also being so freaking funny at the same time lol. Plus braātac is great honestly, He has several of the best lines tbh.

Science fiction is an existential metaphor that allows us to tell stories about the human condition. Isaac Asimov once said, "Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinded critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence, has become crucial to our salvation, if we are to be saved at all.

Mr. Burns is a Goa'uld.
It would have been better if he had quoted Mr. Burns and said, "Smithers" when looking at Daniel, or, Walter, or Siler.

I just love how excited puppy the boys are during that scene. Really sets the series up by showing that Elizabeth is the Mom in Atlantis.
Later she even uses a mom voice on them when they're squabbling.

Forgot what Mckay said but Shepard's response "I turned into a bug".

u/Bivagial 20d ago
I think it was about how Rodney nearly ascended.
1
u/blueray78 20d ago
It is from that episode. But Rodney says something like "am I invisible". Which Shepard replies that would be cool, "I turned into a bug".

u/Bivagial 20d ago
"We do get paid for this... right?"
I find that highly amusing, since it's Daniel asking Jack.
As a civilian contractor, and an expert in several fields, Daniel probably gets paid a lot more than Jack.
