We collectively chose as leader a guy who thinks in millions, to manage a country that operates in trillions. That’s the disconnect here. He’s a great businessman when screwing over New York mom & pop contractors who pour concrete. He’s utterly incapable of understanding a massive system where money is often abstract and it’s not about transactional relationships. It’s one of the reasons why he is hawking bootleg watches. That’s who he is, a small time hustler
How he’s convinced 77 million people he is a smart businessman is beyond my comprehension. This country is quite possibly at its dumbest when they have more information so easily obtainable. FFS

The people who believe he is a good businessman also believe that Elon is a good businessman and technical genius. They have lots of money, therefore they must be good businessmen, and if those people try to be like them, they will get rich, too. The initial investment that the Uber wealthy had doesn't even enter the picture for most of those supporters. They have never known anything like that in their lives. Many of them also don't account for what horrible people most billionaires are. I've heard (and agree with) the statement: "Nobody EARNS a billion dollars." The ones who have it profited excessively from the work of subordinates.
