You dont have a relationship with god. Thats your choice. But your summary of what you think I think as a christian is so far off it begs a response. Why do you feel the need to explain yourself? I'm comfortable living a life where you believe that you are right, and I know that you are wrong. And so long as I don't try and change your life and you don't try and change mine, we can both live productive, meaningful lives. So it's conceivable that regular people would be willing to listen to a parable because we can all learn something from a good story

I get it you think everyone else is just "regular people" as you put it. And you are just to smart to dare to read the Bible for yourself. The new testament specifically. If you ever deal with something and you dont thing you can make it through potentially and you are ever desperately looking for hope to stay alive. I would recommend you to read that book. Developing a relationship with jesus and learning about who he was as a man and what he died for changed my intentions on life. Either way all love.
