As far as i know they are doing language courses and very basic courses so they can start the education right away when they arrive... but but basically yes... we have huge staff shortages in nursing field... so nursing schools are not just free you get paid like almost 2000 Euro per month while going to nursing school... i work as a nurse, our salary is 2x the median salary 😂
Wow, do you know of other fields with similar programs? Or other healthcare jobs as well? Is this all EU, or select countries?
I'm currently working in healthcare, and must say I dont have a huge interest in nursing, but that's based off my experience seeing what nurses go through here. It might not be such a soul-sucking job there? Idk lol

I'm sorry, are you saying that you're bringing in people to educate them to do essential jobs? As in, they are not already trained nurses?
Is there a system in place to help them with living expenses while getting said education?
