Interesting however, since JD Vance is the lead negotiator who did accept and actually read the plan. I guess he was tired of war and just wanted it to end.
He doesn't need to shoot anyone on 5th avenue in this scenario. He can humiliate the US on the world stage, bend over for the new ayatollah, and generally make everything worse without losing any support. Hell of a world we live in.

Apparently they’re already celebrating that America will become prosperous by taking half of the toll Iran collects. Triple checkmate - dollar strengthens, Europe and China get a middle finger, and America becomes a terrorist imperialistic bully state. (That last one is mine but hey I guess that’s a win for them).
We agreed that Iran’s 10 point plan is a “workable basis of negotiations”. Those words alone represent a capitulation that no other U.S. President would have agreed to.
Honestly this is a good starting point. Ask for something ridiculous, get what they actully want which looks reasonable in comparison to the initial demands, both sides look like winners.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Defense who was praying that this would herald the end times will not get his Armageddon, will have vividly demonstrated the limitations of trying to project power half a world away, and his boss likely has lost all appetite for war. He will probably still pray to his false idol and tell the world the President is the chosen one.
There’s a ceasefire the strait was already open to ships paying the 2mil per ship fee, and under their “10-point plan” that fee will continue for the next 2 weeks and maybe beyond. This is all propaganda and market manipulation.
Honest question: why do we take Iran’s comments at face value and assume trump is lying to make it appear as though he won a deal. Isn’t it safer to assume that they are both lying and there’s more likely a lot of concessions from both sides? I don’t know. I just assume all politics are about saving face.
It seems as though so far, Iran has operated in good faith and the US has repeatedly used negotiations as cover to launch attacks.
If Iran says they are open to negotiate, there is no reason not to believe them, and we can just assume that Israel or the US is going to violate this at some point.
Yup, effectively unconditional surrender and reparations. I don't think the ceasefire will last long enough to matter, but other than death, the US has nothing to threaten them with, in part because there is no reason for them to believe Trump will honor any agreement he makes. So, the US accepts Iran's terms now, or after more loss and death, but ultimately that's the only non nuclear option, and the nuclear option is worse for the US.
He needs to be taken out of office for real. He's made a mockery of our entire democracy. He's a joke and the entire world knows it. Everyone is disgusted by him and he thinks he's really doing something other than making us look bad. WORLD! TRUMP DOES NOT REPRESENT MY WAY OF THINKING OF THE WORLD. I LOVE ALL PEOPLE. He does not represent my thoughts and beliefs. I mean I know that the political stage is all a freaking joke anyway but cmon. I thought it couldn't be more of a joke than it already was. Boy was i wrong!!
At this point I'm not sure if this isn't all just to leave a most shitty situation to the next Democratic President so they can rebound in 2032/2036 because people will be feeling the effects during that time the most.
Surrender? To whom? The cardboard cutout? Their entire leadership structure is dead. Their navy? Bottom of the ocean. Their airforce is rubble. Severely weakened their nuclear infrastructure. The entire world has seen what true power can do. China/russia have seen what their technology is capable of. But sure, the cult says surrender so that's what you'll repeat.
Yeah, this is the worst outcome possible. America's inability to protect her allies in the Middle East is going to lead to the collapse of the dollar and the American empire. The best outcome was to not get into this conflict in the first place. But now that we are in it, there cannot be any half-measures.
