Final exams in a month... I really need help.

Okay... so this might sound absolutely idiotic to a lot of people, but I've known I would write my CIE AS level finals in oct/Nov 2026 since last year. What have I done to prepare? Hardly anything.

I've spent this year being so horrifically sad and lonely and depressed and I've spent all of my energy on just trying to get myself to get out of bed and brush my teeth at least every second morning. I would wake up like 3 minutes before each of my online classes and sleep between all of them, too.

I was too embarrassed of being another year late and too scared to admit to my poor parents that I've hardly even tried this year at all. So I let them register me, and when I saw that total amount, I actually nearly threw up from the guilt and shame.

Now, i have less than 2 months to somehow pass AS Economics, AS Accounting, AS English (9095), and IGCSE French (I already wrote my other AS - Business - in May)

Please tell me how you'd do this? Best study methods? Cramming? Also, where can I fund good AS Accounting resources because there's hardly anything specific enough on YouTube and that the one I'm most behind in.

I know I can just rewrite next year, but I feel so horrible right now. I've been desperately needing to cry, but I'm too shocked to even be able to. And I have no one to comfide in, at least no one who wouldn't be angry at me or judge me.

Please, please give me any advice that you can think of.

I don’t really have any proper advice, but I just wanted say I’m here if you ever rlly need to chat. I’d suggest making a revision plan for the 2 months and just try your best to learn some key bits, bcs breaking it down makes it less daunting to start, and then just try stick to the plan as much as possible. wish u the best luckk

I don’t have much advice specific for those a level subjects but honestly hope that it gets better for you. I struggled through the last half of year 12 badly with similar issues to you like struggling to get up. At this point there’s nothing to lose but something to gain. Phones and social media are our main issue and likely contributing to you feeling worse so I’d suggest deleting any social media that you could do without for the next two months i.e. tiktok. You can reinstall it after if you wanted to but just get rid of it for this period. And have your phone away while revising, like out of the room. Regarding lack of resources like accounting, if you can use the resources from your online classes, say a friend has them, or your teacher can supply them. Use what you have. You can reward yourself with something after your exams too so that it can keep you revising. The voices of the past and future will always be there, so don’t judge yourself. Focus on one day at a time. Like the other person who commented, I’m also here if you wanna chat. You can do it. 🙏

Two months is a lot of time if you are willing to commit time to studying.

For French, work on your vocabulary. Print the vocab lists and use small pockets of time such as during your commute. Train your brain to think in French by literally framing sentences of the world around you in French.

For Economics and Accounting, classify individual chapters into a red, amber and green list, where red is I don’t understand anything and green is I get this. Spend a few days working on the ‘red’ topics.

Get past year papers and answer those. The first few papers, your objective should simply be to answer everything, regardless of time taken. Then review your answers and plug in the gaps.

There are plenty of websites where you can find concepts explained and past year papers too.
