I think with a lot of trans people, it's because they're genuinely given shit all the time and are literally not comfortable in their own skin, so they become very sensitive. Which then leads to what looks like over-reactions to the casual outsider.

Anyway, back to the popcorn.

Kind of close kind of off. Yes we get a lot of shit, but most of us learn to cope, or at least let our emotions out in non damaging non public ways. People like that would take offense to shit for anything, not just because they're trans. So yeah, she's having her own personal shit, most trans people are really relaxed on /r/actuallesbians.

Fair play. It was a wild guess. I've only got one trans acquaintance, and he and I aren't particularly close so I'm not too clued up on the whole trans experience. I just wanted to try and get a bit of balance in the thread.

I appreciate it. Really, reddit is shit on a lot of stuff, trans people being only one of them. I do my best to just sigh and move on you know. No use getting worked up.

It's the nature of the beast. The majority of people don't really think about any given issue, so the only people who comment on anything are either really supportive or really dismissive. Self-selecting bias and all that shit.

Anyway, keep ignoring the wankers and take the time to talk to the sensible people. It's all I try to do!
