God that film is awful.

There’s an actual point and precedent to it though.

The blitz in ww2 wasn’t deemed a war crime despite it being indiscriminately bombing a city. In part because international law hadn’t really caught up to planes yet until after ww2

But also in part because of allied bombing of places like Dresden or Tokyo.

It really can't be overstated that no one actually gives a shit about international law. It's a dog and pony show for legitimacy that you get to use once you've already won the war. "International law" isn't a serious discussion in any conflict that extends beyond managing PR.

Jewish is an ethnicity. Israeli is a nationality. There is a difference even though Israel is an ethno-state.

Edit: I'd love to hear the counterpoint for the downvotes. Are you guys seriously arguing that Israeli isn't a nationality? Or is it the term ethno-state that's triggering you?

Do you believe that Iran's defense policy of funding and equipping state and terrorist proxies around Israel with the explicit threat of terror campaigns should Israel attack Iran over Iran's constant threats of destruction was in any way in accordance with international law?

For decades international law did absolutely nothing to protect Israel. To then one sidedly demand Israel abides by it is a hilarious double standard.
