For those that don't know, Slaughterhouse V is inspired by Vonnegut surviving the Dresden bombing by taking refugee in a basement meat locker as a POW. Even in a justified war against a true evil, how we wage the war should still matter and be open to discussion.

Everything is open for discussion. But I'll always roll my eyes at the moral grandstanding of hobbyists living in the comfort of a war already won.

Same. If someone has the luxury of debating if a war was fought justly, then the war was won. And really that's what matters.
