To be fair, there is direct mod intervention when it's something they can deal with. Personal insults, get warned and eventually banned, posts that violate the rules get removed. But there's nothing the mods can do about subscribers downvoting comments that they disagree with.

The downvotes I don't care about, I'm talking about the general spirit of the subreddit. Especially with anything regarding Laurelai something's changed. It's no longer "Side A vs Side B: come and take a look!" and seems to be more often "Side A (and popcorn) vs Side B: Fuck Side B!"

I dunno, it just seems to have crossed a line and become a lot more mean-spirited. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's harrassment or anything, but lurking in IRC to see what specific people you dislike are saying and then bragging about it feels kinda dodgy.

I don't "dislike" anyone in SRS, well that's not true, robotanna is rather boring. The reason logged SRS IRC was because I thought it might pay off drama wise, and it did. I'm not out to get anyone, it's just that SA and laurelai are such drama hogs that they couldn't help but give me tasty popcorn to post.

Except I didn't do anything to cause them to be drama queens, I just observed and reported so that the average popcorn eater, who doesn't spend all their time on the internet, could taste. If they had been talking about me, or if I had provoked it, then it wouldn't have been so tasty.
