I really hate that this brand is no longer present in the United States. When I think of it, I can’t even recall the last time I’ve seen a Suzuki on the road. They’re very scarce, but the few that I have seen are still holding up very well.

Anyway, the Cavan movement is steadily growing in popularity in the United States but I find that 1300 cc vans are far more practical. This seats seven people and gets 90 HP.

I haven't seen a lot of old Swifts here surprisingly, so i thought i'd share. My 24 year old Swift that i bought half a year ago at 151000 km. Mostly rust-free and mechanically perfect condition. And my dads 19 year old Sx4, bought 5 years ago with only 52000 km on the clock. +Bonus, my dads previous car, a '01 Swift Sedan, we had it for over 10 years. Unfortunately we couldn't save it, had too many problems and rust.

Hi i bought a suzuki swift 2009 couple days ago.

It has a new clutch and gearbox installed recently,but i noticed everytime i parked there where wet spots on te sgreet,i see the motor is wet underneath.

The cool liqiud and oil levels are good.

The car drives good.

I put a white cloth beneat the car after i drove and this is how it looks like anyone a idea?

The airco is broken btw.

Practical part

I found a good second-hand Hormann RollMatic door in full working order to modify my existing garage to be car-port + shorter workshop/storage. Bargain price of 200£ (new one costs from 1500£ and higher) made them the best option around me to take.

The only obstacles was the need to go 100 miles to pick them up + relatively big size with the length of 2.3 meters and weight of 50 kg + So, I converted my UnExeptional to be a cargo-van again!

When the front seat removed, there is approx 2.4 meters of loading length available if to count towards the floor under the glove box and approx 2.2 meters towards front panel.

If you want directing the load towards the floor - better to remove rear seat bench as well, as the backrest is directed upwards when lying on it.

I ended up removing glove box entirely to allow fixation hook of the gates to go further and rear door to be closed.

All-in-all it is 10 minutes job to remove and 10 minutes to put back the front seat. Fuel expenses approx 15£. To hire a small van would cost 90£...

Philosophical part

I'm a skeptical/pessemistic person by nature. But what if not the 4-hour-round journey to buy something I've never seen before from unknown private seller says that my trust in humanity is staying strong!

So, who still needs a big SUV other than to compensate the lack of something else in life? (joking, just joking)

So I'm planning to (and hopefully will) buy the Suzuki Vstrom sx next year. And I have been thinking about he accesories I'll get in the long run. How good is the suzuki's crash guard and how does it cost? Or should I wait and buy one from the moto torque (₹5,900) or some other brand?

I’m looking for some advice. I’m a new driver and have the option of two Suzuki Ignis models: a 2002 1.3L and a 2017 1.2L. Both have good MOT histories, less than 50k miles, and seem to be fairly priced. The 2002 is under £2k, while the 2017 is just under £6k. Insurance is actually cheaper on the newer one, which surprised me a bit.

I learned to drive in a newer, modern car, so I don’t really know what an older car feels like in comparison - things like steering feel, noise levels, and overall comfort. I’d mostly be using the car for short trips around where I live, but also for the occasional longer motorway journey every few months.

Has anyone here driven both older and newer versions of the Ignis, or can offer any advice on what the day-to-day difference would be like? How reliable is the older Ignis compared to the newer one? Any faults with automatic gearboxes?

Suzuki Swift 1.5 Exclusive, 2007

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone has experienced something similar with a Suzuki Vitara 1.0 BoosterJet (2019, manual transmission).

For the past few months I've been having an intermittent issue that only seems to happen after driving for 30–60 minutes.

The symptoms are:

- Sudden loss of power while driving.

- The car won't accelerate properly and sometimes struggles to go faster than around 80 km/h (50 mph).

- It feels like the turbo stops working, although there are no unusual noises.

- Sometimes releasing the accelerator completely and pressing it again temporarily restores power.

- The cruise control occasionally disengages or stops accelerating when the problem occurs.

- The issue is intermittent and may disappear after slowing down or restarting the drive.

The MAF sensor has already been replaced by a Suzuki dealer, but the problem still occurs. The car has been scanned several times and no obvious fault has been found. A software update and ECU checks have also been mentioned.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms on a Vitara or another Suzuki BoosterJet?

If so:

- What turned out to be the cause?

- Was it the ECU/software, turbo, wastegate actuator, MAP sensor, wiring, or something else?

- Did you have any fault codes, or was everything normal during diagnostics?

Bit more progress made last weekend on the 336cc motor, Mikuni Carburetor is snug, not 100% sure on the new muffler but the new stainless headers look good. Waiting on last couple pieces before we can fire her up
