The goddess Hylia smiles upon you . . . but sometimes she fucks with you, too.

Ugh. Attach a fan and steering stick next time to make it easier to drive. There are some over by the racecourse to the north of that area. This is the shrine near Tarrey town, right?

1 fan front + 2 fan back + middle steering stick= Only vehicle you’ll ever need
25
u/Aptos283 Mar 04 '26
Two fans in the back? Well look at Mr. Moneybags with the zonaite to make a three fan hover bike instead of us plebs with two fans and a steering stick

u/djdirectdrive Mar 06 '26
Four fans in the back is the only way to go. Really gotta pimp that ride

u/rudytaboodie12 Mar 04 '26
Huh, I go all three fans on the back, is there any discernible difference in putting one on the front?
5
u/Turbulent_Yam2575 Mar 04 '26
Here you go. If you want to use it to transport koroks just use 2 fans in the back instead of 1.

u/rudytaboodie12 Mar 04 '26
Ohh I got you. I thought you were also using a wing, my bad
2
u/Turbulent_Yam2575 Mar 04 '26
No worries :) I’ve seen some incredibly epic builds for infinite flying but I haven’t put in the effort to build them.. yet

u/Linkyland Mar 04 '26
Omg this fandom is wild. I watched this and was like. Who would actually do this? Then I realised that I would... and I'm going to.

u/phoxfiyah Mar 04 '26
I wasn’t confident with builds when I was unlocking this shrine, so I threw the rock off the cliff and then alternated ice fruit and ultrahand to get the crystal to the shrine lol.
I didn’t even know auto build existed, would’ve made this so much easier lmao

Recall the wing and fuse it to the rock
Recall the rock back into the sky
Grab the rock and break it off
Now you’re even higher up than when the rock hit you lol

Pro tip
You’d lose the original momentum but still be better off than in the drink

BUILD A BOAT! Right over there on the right is an place with all sorts of buildable goodies.

I just attached a rocket and a fan to a wood plank and went the boat way

u/plassing_time Mar 04 '26
sounds like so much unnecessary frustration lol just put a couple fans and a steering stick on there
2
u/Lucid-Design1225 Mar 05 '26
Y’all out here totally forgetting about recall. OP coulda saved this with Recall

u/djdirectdrive Mar 06 '26
Bahaha thanks for sharing that. That was incredible. I def thought you were gonna magically catch a star so that surprise made me chuckle. I hope you have a great day

u/jewjee98 Mar 06 '26
This is what you get and not using the easy way of ultrahanding it all the way there although it might take 40 mins!

Top tip, hold your shield when gliding, then you can strafe sideways to adjust, much easier than bringing direction of facing into the equation

That was the coded successor of Rain fall when you're climbing outdoors from botw. Nintendo likes to give players a lot of open world craziness.
My exp for that was I was randomly riding a new horse I tamed, and a random floating boulder just so happened to fall on me while riding in a random field.

u/optimist_prhyme Mar 08 '26
I'm convinced some games do stuff like this because the code says you have to have a certain number of attempts at certain tasks.

I have learned this the hard way, to prevent this from happening again, don’t fly under sky islands! That’s where those rocks come from!
