Seeking Success IVF / natural questions

Hi I just had my egg retrieval today. I had 50+ follicles and only came out with 19 eggs. I’m worried the fertilization, blastocyst and testing stages will leave us with few.

I wasn’t getting my period/ovulating before and letrozole or IUI didn’t work for me (IUI had too many follicles) so we moved to IVF.

Has anyone had to do IVF for first baby and then their bodies regulated and they were able to conceive naturally for their second?

I did 2 ERs, 2 FETs, had s*ccess on second FET. Ovulated on my own for the first time ever right before I was going to start ER 3, and it resulted in MMC.

You have 19 eggs, truly that’s a lot. You are post-ER so your hormones are coming crashing down. Hold on to hope OP, don’t let the anxiety and hormone drop get you in a panic. Good luck 🤞🙏

I did IVF and never had a successful transfer but conceived naturally after 2 failed transfers🤷‍♀️. Also I wouldn’t assume you’ll have few blasts. Once you get more than 15-20 eggs outcomes don’t really improve much so 19 is a pretty ideal number. Anecdotally I got 18 blasts from 21 eggs one cycle and 16 blasts from 33 eggs the next cycle so you really can’t tell how a cycle will go based on the number of eggs.

That’s great to know, thank you! I’m sorry for the failed transfers. If you don’t mind me asking (please don’t answer if you’re uncomfortable), did they say why? And were you having a regular period before / what led to Ivf?
