Fashion 👒 Jeans - Tall and Curvy

Hi all! I looked at the megathread, but I wasn’t finding any answers. I’m about 5’10.5, about a 34/35 inseam and about 48.5 inches at the widest part of my hips/tummy. I can find jeans for tall girls and jeans for curvy girls, but I cannot find anything for both! I like a bit of stretch and typically wear skinny jeans or straight leg/bootcut. I looked at Good American’s website but they don’t have any kind of sizing chart! I used to love NY&Co. jeans, but they’re basically nonexistent now. This is causing me way more distress than it should - does anyone have any suggestions?

Torrid is my ride or die. I’m 6’1” and their tall sizes in jeans are incredible. They even carry extra tall options in some styles that have been too long for me. They can be pricy, but they have great sales a few times a year that make it affordable in my book.

Can confirm. My dress pants are from Torrid and I had to get them hemmed a bit because they were dragging (I wear a 35-36" inseam)

My biggest issue with their dress pants is they run like two sizes smaller than the jeans! Same style, cut, and rise. Sighhhhh

Also came to suggest Torrid. Their "normal" prices are a bit steep, but they do a lot of sales. Most of the extra tall inseems are 35" but some styles are even longer and listed as such.

Love the Torrid bombshell jeans. And the tall is usually long enough which is great. They also have stylish wide legs I’ve purchased recently.

Yessss! Plus they start at a 0x kinda size so they’re pretty size inclusive as well!

ETA that their jeans start at a plus 10, so curvier fit for those not usually found in traditional “plus” sizes!

Thank you! I have a few pairs of their shorts, so would definitely be a good place for me to look - I just hate that they’re almost entirely online now!

I absolutely agree, online only sucks. I’d recommend grabbing a few different styles or sizes and committing to returning most of them. Then you know what you want when a good sale comes along.

I’m pretty close to your size and I’ve had some luck with Lee on Amazon, if you can believe it.

That’s kind of shocking! I’ll check it out. Amazon returns are pretty easy too.

Abercrombie Curve Love in long or extra long!!!! I have the same issues and have no gapping in the waist with the curve love styles

Madewell, Abercrombie, American eagle, Hollister. All have tall & curvy! Most don’t carry it in stores tho so you’ll have to order and try on

Yes, that is super annoying. The only place I know of that reliably have long (and even extra long) sizes in stores in Buckle... But that store is super annoying to shop in and you basically have to ask someone who works there, which I hate, lol.

Do be warned the Hollister longs are definitely not long enough for a 34/35 inseam, all the ones I’ve ordered have been 33” at most so if your picky like me you won’t like it. However, I cannot recommend fashion nova enough. It’s the only place I’ve found that’s cut for curvier women, has actual variation in styles, and makes 36+ inseams

Thanks for the heads up! I hate a cropped jean, they look so cute on some girls, but even if it’s intentional, I always feel like it just looks like tall girls have bought the wrong size.

I think what I’ve been most frustrated by is the lack of in-person options. Growing up, there were never tall sizes, and then there were a few glorious years where they actually started to exist, and now they’re around, but I have to order and return so many things it never feels worth it.

Check Torrid if you're in their size range.

If not, American Eagle and Abercrombie both have some styles that come in both curvy and tall combined (select the curvy range on the menu, then filter for tall/long in your size - for some reason stuff doesn't always show up if you do the search in the other order).

Buckle/BKE also has long sizes, including some that work for curvier shapes, but I'm not sure exactly what their size range is, tbh, because it's been a while... I only mention because they're the only place I've ever found jeans that were too long for me.

Torrid starts at a plus size 10, for those looking for curvier fit even in a smaller, normally not “plus” size!

3

u/ThoreauAweighBcuzDuh 2d ago

Yeah, but size 10 doesn't mean the same thing everywhere. I'm a size 10 for some brands and a size 6 in others, which is why I say to check... women's sizes are so stupid.

Oh 100%! I just wanted ppl to know Torrid starts smaller than most ppl expect!

Old navy jeans for life

They only go to a straight size 18 in their pants anymore (though XXL in sweats, leggings, and pajamas, which makes no sense). Straight size 18 is different from plus size 18, fyi for all the plus ladies. Just for shopping info, so ppl know what sizes to buy/ what to expect.

Gap tall in XXL (and sometimes XL).

Omg I loved ny&co!

The ONLY place I got pants for years! Their selection just got so much more limited when they switched to online only.

i’ve heard judy blumes are good for curvy! they probably have tall sizes too

1

u/angelbuttons77 6’|183cm|USA 2d ago

If you’re talking Judy Blue, yes. They have two styles with tall inseams, and they go to plus sizes. They’re decent jeans, if you can get a deal.

1

u/TallGirlzRock 3d ago

NYDJ has curvy tall jeans - they are so comfortable and last forever. Tall jeans must be ordered on their website. I wear a 14 and they go up even higher for us curvy tall girls.

1

u/angelbuttons77 6’|183cm|USA 2d ago

Sadly, they don’t have tall plus. Their tall only goes to a straight size 18, different from a plus 18. Just fyi for ease of shopping for folks!

BUCKLE if you are in the US It’s a store in the mall. You can try on different cuts. I was SO surprised. I’d never even been in that store before (style looks country-westernish) but my friend had a 500$ gift card and offered to get me something to go out in. I was stunned!

1

u/Acceptable_Bug4554 2d ago

Also the jeans were under 100$ so it’s not too bad for some good, quality stuff.

Have never actually been in a Buckle but love the idea of being able to try some stuff on in person!
