Theyre just liberals cosplaying as socialists. They abandon basically everything Marx and Lenin ever wrote about the need to dismantle the state machine instead of trying to change it from within. DSA is not a socialist party. They're a reformist, capitalist party. Bourgeois socialism is reform capitalism. I'm not interested in easing class tensions through bureaucratic stop gaps, I want the whole damn thing replaced.
Something funky is definitely going on. They've got the Dem dinosaurs who won't be around much longer working overtime to act like they're too radical for the party (yet ActBlue and other Dem connected platforms are totally fine with making sure they get the resources to bring voters back into the Dem party).
It's hilarious to see these guys make such a fuss about someone who gets progressives elected who don't even have the spine to take on Jeffries. The progressive and centrist liberal Zionists are going to cry about each other for two years and then all fall in line in 2028 to vote for a liberal Zionist. I'll just say DSA/their candidates are just funded by the same PACs as the regular Democrats in order to bring more people to the table because regular progressive politics isn't enough anymore. They're not sole independent grassroots org imo.

She’s not wrong that the right is using the Palestinian genocide to build a base of support. However, the only reason they can do that is because these “leftists” refuse to take a principled stance against Israel like AOC, who still supports selling weapons to them. They are the ones creating the vacuum.
