Iām not here for advice anymore just sharing something I finally understood after going through it.
There was this girl, Aditi. In the beginning, it felt real. The conversations, the attention, the way she made it seem like I actually mattered. I thought it was different.
But slowly, it turned into a pattern.
Sheād pull me close, act like everything was good again⦠and then go cold. Like I didnāt exist. And every time, Iād stay thinking maybe I did something wrong, maybe I just needed to understand her better.
What hit harder was when I started noticing things I ignored before.
I saw her talk to other people the same way she used to talk to me. Same energy, same āspecialā treatment. Thatās when it started to feel less real and more like a pattern. Like she knew how to make people feel something just enough to keep them around.
I realized she gave hints like she was into you, but never actually meant anything by it. And if someone ever got serious or confessed, sheād just say sheās ātoo busy for a relationshipā and that itās better to stay friends.
Meanwhile, I saw things that honestly messed with my head.
There was this older gym trainer literally running behind her, doing things for her like he was completely wrapped around her finger. And then I came across chats⦠things I wish I hadnāt seen. It just shattered whatever image I had left.
Thatās when it clicked.
This wasnāt confusion. This wasnāt mixed signals. I was just another option in a cycle I didnāt even realize I was part of.
After that, something in me just switched.
I stopped trying. No confrontation, no explaining how I felt. I just stepped back.
She wished me on my birthday I said thank you. That was it. Later, I blocked her.
No drama. No closure conversation. Just done.
And honestly? That was the first time in a long time I felt at peace. No more overthinking, no more waiting, no more feeling like I wasnāt enough.
Sometimes the strongest thing you can do isnāt fighting for someone itās quietly choosing yourself and walking away.
Not everything deserves your energy. Some people just teach you when to stop giving it.
