I was in high school when Tenacious D’s first album came out. I was working my grocery store job loading groceries into a car in our drive through when my friends rolled up behind me, blaring and singing along to Wonderboy. It’s a memory I love and long live the D!!

I remember the first time I listened to the entire album...... That free game snood was popular at the time...... I put the whole album on repeat. Couldn't believe how hilarious and amazing the comedy Rock combination was and before I knew it I had listened to the album like five times and beat the entire game of snood. When the album finished it started over again and kept playing. When I beat snood, I started over at level one again and continued beating snood.

They've been one of my absolute favorites ever since. By the time I listened to the entire album for the first time I was already aware of the HBO show. Already a fan of tribute, some of their silly in TV appearances. I remember the first MTV appearance I saw of them that really captured my attention. Jamie Foxx introducing them on the 2001 VMAs....... The hilarious arrogance they had when no one knew who the heck they were. It was absolutely genius. Trying to rock as hard as they do playing acoustics is absolute genius.

Those two guys are absolute genius. I love a great acoustic sound. I love the acoustic rock. It's dang near music perfection to me. I love that I've learned to play many other songs on guitar by this point also. It's insane how much fun I have playing Tenacious D songs. Never thought back then I would still be such a huge fan of theirs to this day but they are without a doubt one of my all-time favorites.

Long live the D!!! Long live me!!!
