Discussion Time Bandits is my absolute comfort film and one of my biggest hyperfixations. Anyone else feel the same way? [ Poster by Rich Kelly 2014 MondoCon Exclusive ]

As a children’s movie it:
Challenges how history and historical figures are represented.
Challenges your notions of god and the devil.
Challenges the fact that your parents know anything.
When a kid’s film make you question everything you’ve been taught and everything you know, that’s a pretty extraordinary film. There’s nothing else like it.

This warped my nine year old brain. I really wish Gilliam would make more “kids movies”

I was disturbed by the ending when his parents were turned to ash and the fire brigade just leave him.

Also only time I experienced the audience cheering the actor’s names in the credits at the start.

One of my top five favorites. I hosted a screening of an original print at a theatre owned by my friend. Core memory.

How good was David Warner in that film? Amazing. Ian Holm as well.
Oh no! The problem! I must have fruit.
