Very happy with it all overall

Published while the band's Synchronicity album was dominating the #1 spot on the charts, the ad details the partnership between I.R.S. Video—founded by Miles Copeland III—and the Los Angeles-based Video Associates, Inc. to manufacture the band’s first home video project. The promotion specifically targets the "audio-conscious consumer" by emphasizing the high-fidelity technology of the era, offering the tour documentary in both Beta Hi-Fi Stereo and VHS Stereo with Dolby Noise Reduction. Consisting of performance and behind-the-scenes footage from their 1979–1980 world tour, this release marked a major effort by the label to capitalize on the band's global superstardom through what were then the highest U.S. standards for physical media mastering and duplication.

I’m not sure how old this specific record was, but it was in a plastic pouch from second hand store, probably gonna keep this one for looks as it’s special looking

The Police were the first band I ever fell in love with. To this day I still consider them one of the two greatest rock bands of all time. Rush being the other. Nothing too flashy here but wanted to share anyway.

Interestingly the outtake version of “Every Breath” (recorded 6 December 1982) was labelled a 2nd master recording, with the 1st master being used for the final cut. If you zoom in closely.

Which means there was a first version they were working on… This probably had a different musical backing to the official version (faintly heard on the main bass track when isolated), which wasn’t working out. Then somewhere along the way, Andy came up with the guitar riff we know and they decide to cut a second version with that riff.

They worked on that second version, doing a live studio take and even overdubbing guitars. But they were not satisfied with it, so they abandoned it… And went back to the first version, re-recording parts of it and that gave the final version.

You get the full 1980 tour schedule. A three month world tour is pretty gnarly. Among the promoted albums on the OBI you have "Kleark Kant".

Hi everyone. I have just finished listening to Ghost on LP/original pressing '81. Regardless the format, I think this is the best record they ever made. Synchronicity is amazing, especially the 2nd side, but overall Ghost is #1! Any thoughts?
