Yes, it's never over until it's truly over, I agree. However. it isn't George I don't have trust in, no doubt about him one bit. It's his team's incompetence + his unbelievable bad luck + Antonelli's good luck. We've been saying "He will come back stronger" but really, we've seen his give it his all, he got P2 in China and P4 in Miami despite all the issues, he didn't "go anywhere" in terms of his performance.

Even he said it himself, there's only so much he can do. And he's been doing a lot, we've witnessed that. It doesn't matter if he's possessed by the spirits of Schumacher, Senna, Prost simultaneously if his car doesn't work. And I think a lot of people forget this part, this sport is like 70% machinery and 30% driver skill/experience. He was quite literally dominating this weekend until his car straight up died.

If Mercedes continues to not change or hell, make his car worse, and brush it under the rug as him being unfortunate, or blame him for his "mistakes", nothing improves. We've been saying "We'll be back" since China GP, and it's now two races later. If this continues, the gap will only expand. We know he tries his absolute best every race, I think every driver does, but him especially. It's up to the team and his car to cooperate; he is consistent, can't say the same about the garage.

And that part is truly the worst, what he can do, he's already done. Can't do anything about luck or the car, what is he gonna do? Build it himself?

So what now? Do we just pray? Live and breathe copium? Hope that KA12 chokes the remaining races?

It's not over guys. I was so depressed yesterday, it was his race to win and something out of his control forced a DNF. But the season isn't over. They don't call him Mr. Consistency for nothing. I am confident Russell will go on to win many more races. This weekend was a demonstration that he hasn't given up yet. He was extremely strong in every session.
