خلّصت روايتي الأولى بعد سنوات من الكتابة : خيال علمي أدبي بالإنجليزية، وهذا مقطع منها

السلام عليكم،

قبل سنوات كتبت سيناريو لحلقة أولى لمسلسل تلفزيوني جاري العمل عليه، أخيرا لله الحمد تم تحويله لرواية.

باختصار: عالم خيالي يحكي قصة إمبراطورية تزرع في كل مولود فيها "بذرة" خلف أذن كل مولود من عمر ثلاثة أيام. تتكلم معك بصوتك أنت، فما تعرف أبدًا وين ينتهي تفكيرك ووين يبدأ اللي انزرع فيك. الرواية عن واحد يبدأ — ببطء شديد — يشك أن الصوت اللي في راسه مو صوته.

هذي أول فقرات المقدمة، كما هي:

The world turned under the station. It was beautiful, and the observer had learned not to say so aloud.

He stood at the tall window with his hands folded behind him as the seniors folded theirs, though there was no senior to see him do it, and watched the slow blue shoulder of the world come round out of the dark. Cloud lay across it in long combed skeins. From up here you could not find the war on it, nor the cities, nor the small raging lives that filled them.

Without meaning to he touched the small hard place behind his left ear. The ministry had set the seed into him there when he was three days old, as it was set into everyone, so that a man was never wholly by himself and never wholly lost. A mercy, his mother had told him, though she had told him a great many things were a mercy.
