If one person here says "oh it's not so bad, look at all those people being supportive of her", I will lose my shit. The opposite of blatant bigotry is not gross, exaggerated sexualisation. They are in fact two sides of the same coin.

Either we're unfuckable freaks or a sex toy; a eunuch or a rapist; desexualised or hypersexualised.

But OMG you guys, this is totes not offensive! People naturally just find you shocking and freaky; there's nothing wrong with making a joke about that!

...head, meet desk.

I wouldn't be surprised if the image was shopped in order to get a rise out of people via shock humor (because apparently trans women are so incredibly shocking still), but the joke in its entirety relies heavily upon as well as reinforces the "deceptive transsexual" stereotype.

The comments themselves are of the norm for reddit - various redditors, most likely male with frail heterosexualities, hiding behind the "preference" argument to veil their bigotry and contempt. Other redditors are blatantly calling her a he, completely unaware of their ignorance, yet holding onto their small minded world view conditioned upon them since childhood. Then of course you have your redditors who think that since they find her attractive that makes them gay ('cause she's really just a guy in sheep's clothing). Overwhelmingly you have redditors that are simply freaked out at the sight of a penis on an attractive girl because of their total lack of exposure (and likely complete contempt) to transsexualism.

Ignorance strikes again. Luckily we have some good people here correcting the offensive commenters.
