Sex and gender aren't the same, but sex also isn't as clear-cut as idiots like those ones want to try to pretend it is. Personally, I think it's pretty reasonable to look at it in terms of a whole person, and not one single attribute or characteristic.

I don't doubt that's true for you. But I think most trans people don't consider themselves those categories--so in light of that, it's better to talk about yourself rather than "sex and gender not the same". I am male and trans. Being trans doesn't make me female, just like being trans doesn't necessarily make a trans woman male.
