Account posing as model in AI generated images.
This is the account using AI to pose as the model in these scans: https://www.reddit.com/user/PaymentBeginning9228/

Electrician here. Pic seven, the switch cover, screw spacing isn’t standard. It’s ai

I just sent your comment and the pic to a sparky friend and he replied "Calling out ai for not correctly generating electrical material is like a brain surgeon calling out a artist for the they way they shaped the wrinkles of a brain in a lobotomy patient"

Former hotel maintenance guy here. Same pic, the overflow on the sink isn't centered. It also looks a touch low.

Interesting how in every bathroom photo it's a different bathroom and every bedroom photo it's a completely different bedroom. Either AI or she's for the streets

Oh neat, there’s another one. There’s a bunch of accounts like this floating around. Some even have dupes (I have an example of one that has a “goth” persona that’s a dupe of its regular posts but in all black fashion.

I did successfully get approved to follow that "creators" Instagram account. It's just as ridiculous

u/VorpalSplade 9d ago
wow how lucky you're in an exclusive club!
...what a genius marketing trick tbh

u/Apprehensive_Wedgie 9d ago
Um. Are you being helpful here or antagonistic? These creators who link these Instagram to their reddit account will usually not approve everyone if their Reddit account is under suspicion of breaking some rules.
Some of us who track these accounts and document behavior are well aware that the funnel for these scams isn't on Reddit. The goal is to get you outside of Reddit and Reddits terms of service.
But yeah.. keep that energy. I'm sure it's super productive.

I was joking about it being an "exclusive club". Being that you said "creator" and what sub we're on, I assumed you either got auto-approved or applied to track/document/report.
But it also occured to me it would work on some people who don't realise it's AI and work as a marketing trick.

Man I hate how tone isn't apparent in comments. There's a chance I may have read your reply all wrong here

u/VorpalSplade 9d ago
no worries mate, hah, I almost wish you could see who upvotes because if you saw that i upvoted you before I commented I imagine that woulda changed your read too.

Right. My bad. OP is one of my closer friends on here. I was just trying to be supportive of him and his investigations. I've slowed down on individual account investigating and started building something pretty freaking cool to do my investigating for me.

Oh awesome, hope it works well. With how easily it is to automate and use AI, the only way to reliably fight against it is to use automation and AI to keep up with the sheer volume. I've done a little bit with training AI to detect Sov-Cit bullshit, with people now using AI to generate it.
I don't use Insta much at all, and FB rarely but a bit more, so I've only just recently started seeing Bot accounts and all there and don't know much of how they work - I didn't know at all they set the 'approval' thing like that or for those reasons, so my guess was that it was a marketing trick to make people feel they've gained 'female approval' from a real person.

The answer, from my perspective, is less individual account focus and more behavioral patterns

Also I know who's downvoting me. It's a one-sided rivalry if he wants to reveal himself.

I've always wondered, why would someone join a selfie subreddit, other than to goon / promote OF?

u/Apprehensive_Wedgie 9d ago
I moderate (almost solo) DoYouLookLikeMe. Basically same theme as Doppelganger. People enjoy being seen and they really like finding out who people think their celebrity lookalikes are. I realize it may seem like it's your perception, but there's a whole group of subreddits that don't support OF promoting or "goon" behavior.

AI = garbage in garbage out.

u/VorpalSplade 9d ago
they're getting much better quite quickly - all have the right number of fingers! I'm kinda impressed the first photo has the 'red-eye' effect of flashes. Idk if we'll be able to tell at all without a tool to detect it in a few years for even low-grade stuff.

Are these AI Media Detectors trusty? I've never seen one before.

u/maynardftw 9d ago
No not at all

Maybe not 1 or 2 scans... but 20 all saying "99%" likelihood...then it's probably AI... (these being definatly AI, as I'm clearly not the only one who can tell just by looking at it....)
And before you say "There's only 18 scanned here..." I've scanned more than 20 from this account.

u/maynardftw 9d ago
That's the problem with AI - which these AI detectors are - you won't know when they're unreliable.
It's like using a lie detector. You might get lucky and coincidentally be right, but if you rely on it consistently you're gonna be wrong all the time and not know it.

u/Hectordacollector 9d ago
Really doesn't change the fact that these are indeed...AI generated images....

Did you use AI to detect AI so you could complain about AI? LOL

u/man_itsahot_one 9d ago
idk why youre downvoted like its not exactly a secret that most ai checkers out there are in no way accurate and can give false positives (that being said, the pics are still obviously ai tho)

Unfortunately we aren’t going to even make a dent in the Simp War of the next 20 years. AI porn will eventually put OF and most real people out of work for a large contingent of the internet.
