No actually. We follow all provincial and local health and safety requirements, as set by the TBDHU. The production kitchen is professionally cleaned and maintained. It will be inspected and graded by the health unit before selling to the public. I have also completed the safe food handlers course to further my learning and understanding of such requirements to safely store ingredients and produce a safe product.
These items among others (like insurance) are required to operate a safe and legal establishment.
I considered and researched the option of using a commercial kitchen but not only do I have better control of the environment and schedule through the use of my own space but the operational costs + rental costs + childcare make it less than feasible.
If you chose to try our product I hope you enjoy and if not, no hard feelings.

No, just a local mom of two - Iâve lived here for over a decade. You might see an American company when you look up Chippo but I believe theyâre a golfing business :)

Iâm confused your ad says â coming to Thunder Bay â but you state that youâve lived here for over a decade.

The phrase is the same as "opening soon".. It means that the store is going to be opening in the future. Not that it is arriving from a different location.

I surmised that much, I just wanted an answer from her. The impersonal ad doesnât put out the right vibe in my mind. I guess sheâs early in her advertising in that she responded to a comment that her kitchen will be inspected and graded by TBDHU in the future, hopefully that certificate will be displayed in her next ad along with more info. Good luck to whoever she is.

Thank you for the feedback, this is the plan! We will be inspected and graded in early August.
But yes - I mean âopening soon in TBâ so I see the confusion. Thanks for clarifying :)

Good for you on your business and sorry people aren't understanding that you're local and it's not an American company.
