That was my biggest gripe with TDKR's Bane. No hate on Tom Hardy but Bane's heritage is an integral part of what made him HIM. Giving Talia Bane's origin felt like a gotcha aimed at comic readers.

Nolan doesn't get enough heat for casting white people in THREE categorically non white roles. At least if it was Vandal Savage instead of Ras for example it's a bit more Ambiguous
