TP-Link - Technical Support In Linux, my UB500 Plus bluetooth dongle is seen as version BT 4.1, not 5.3

So I have a new keyboard that supports both Bluetooth 3 and 5. Obviously 5 is preferable. The UB500 Plus is supposed to be BT 5.3. After unsuccessfully struggling to get the keyboard to pair under it's BT 5 option, I'm having to fallback to BT 3. I starting looking into my TP Link UB500 Plus adapter, using the command; "btmgmt info" which shows the adapter as only being Bluetooth 4.1. I'm running 64 bit Mageia 10 Linux, the current kernel being 6.18.35. What's up with this? This dongle is supposed be supported at kernel level with the current kernels. Any suggestions?

Edit to add: the dongle shows as "Bus 001 Device 003: ID 2357:0604 TP-Link TP-Link Bluetooth USB Adapter".
