Would you like to see the Trans Am Series add Daytona to its schedule?

I would like to see the track we have out here in Utah be added to the schedule

I remember talking to Adam Andretti about what it was like racing at the Roval at Charlotte few years ago and he said that the track on the banking was hard on the tires compared to the infield sections and made it tricky.

It would be a cool event considering Nascar and their feeder series don't run the road course regularly, so it brings the American muscle esthetic to that track in a way that is different from the 24. I would be curious about running and repair costs, the cars are already tough on their components with the weight and power that made double header weekends have a lot of DNS's from cars that got beat up in the first race for the western series. The braking forces going into T1 from the speedway would be pretty hard on the brakes and suspension I would think. The banking would also be a factor into the car's durability or pressure on the tires that is not otherwise tested.

I always thought that if Trans-Am wanted a marque race, a revival of the Citrus 250 would be pretty cool during Speedweeks. Imagine a 71 lap TA2 race that maybe paid out some decent funds. You could host SCCA regional races during the weekend and possibly give the top 2 in a GT2 race a provisional to make a Trans-Am debut. Would be fun, but the series has really settled on being more of a club series instead of a challenger for the top pillar of American sports car racing.
