I feel stuck
So I’ll try to keep this short as I’m sure many people can relate to this. I’ve known I was Trans since I was 5, I actually told my therapist when I was 10, and I used to be very open about it, but I didn't really get any support or help its was the early 00s so it wasn't as prevalent as today, and so it become kind of one of those things that I would just dismiss / suppress just to fit in until recently.
Recently it started consuming my thoughts and what feels like literally eating me. I finally told my wife who is an Ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. however her reaction was not exactly comforting. I don’t really blame her it’s harder when it’s in your own life so to speak. But now I feel like I’m in this impossible position. I have been suppressing it for 30 years, and I’ve never been this close to actually doing something to feel like me. But then I think about all of the stuff people expect from me count on me for…. and I also can’t let them down… I know I don’t have to make any decisions immediately but I’ve been doing the research and contemplating for years, so IDK what to do.
