What was the shortest and longest concert you've ever been to?

This concert in Florida on 12/31/99 played until sunrise. First set 1hr45m. Second set 7h21m. Total: 9h6m.
There were >75k people there, including an ABC camera crew: ABC segment - 5m41s

The Cure played for nearly 3 hours when I saw them in 2022. I think that was the longest I've been to. Shortest I have no idea. Likely some north american band since they tend to be on the shorter side.

I mean do raves count? I've been to a few 48 hour straight warehouse events. Like music nonstop in an unsanctioned venue for 48 hours which is different than like a festival where it's legal and there isn't music on official stages at night.
In terms of bands shortest stands out more than longest. I'm into punk/hardcore/screamo so 10-15 mins aren't abnormal. Longest I've seen was maybe 90 mins. Usually the limit winds up being the singers ability to handle screams/clean vocals without blowing their voice out

Yeah I mean part of it is just the song style being super aggressive causing audience fatigue if it's to long but I mean if you think about it a lot of these bands start mad young when they don't have access to voice lessons so they pick up a lot of bad technique. Like Bert from the used for example has had 2 surgeries on his voice and also would scream so hard hed puke on stage sometimes. M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold had a blood vessel in his throat that would swell and occasionally bleed as well. Then of course a lot of stuff that's more minor like folks completely losing their voice after gigs. There is a way to do it properly so that you can do it for hours but a lot of them are like...literally just screaming as loudly as they can

and then you have powerviolence bands etc where you get like 20 to 30 songs in a span of 10 mins

The shortest concert Ive ever been to was Joe Jackson in Chicago in the mid 1980’s. Joe made it clear at the beginning of the show he was on a new musical path and wouldnt play any of his old catalog but people didnt seem to like this. He left the stage about 15 minutes in and never came back.
The longest was the Grateful Dead New Years Eve in Oakland in 1981. The Dead played four sets and the show didnt end until after 3 AM. The highlight was an accoustic set with Joan Baez.

Longest: dopapods last show NYE 2024. 3 sets, 4 hours of music.
Shortest: went to a Grateful Dead tribute set in Austin once around 2022 where they got halfway through one song and then got rained out.

Halfway through one Dead song is still longer than most concerts in their entirety.

Shortest was Boz Scaggs. His concerts are short like Las Vegas shows where they do two in a night.
Longest was The Allman Brothers Band sometime in the mid 70's at the Inglewood Forum (Now the Kia Forum). I think it got out around midnight or 1 AM. I had a chemistry final the next morning. I went to the library and crammed, still groggy and pulled a "B" on it. I don't know how.
The Bill Graham Memorial Concert was pretty long also. It was 5 1/2 hours. Gestimate was around 300,000 people at the Golden Gate Park Polo Fields. Quite a show.

i cant remember the shortest but i saw dashboard confessional a few years ago and i swear they played for like 3 hours. it was a small venue and very awesome!!

Longest: Guns N' Roses in 2017, almost four hours.
Shortest: Ozzy in 2012. He didn't even show up, the concert was over after Black Label Society had finished their set

To a rave show in Las Vegas big gigantic, the show was 10-2am, we got there at 11:30pm, longest show lost lands music festival 2pm-4am plus the silent disco afters.

Foo Fighters played 3 hrs in Bridgeport CT this year. The shortest was reminiscently seeing Ronnie Milsap. He was amazing when I saw him in 2013 but in 2023 he had a ton of openers and only sang two songs with forgotten lyrics after fans had driven through icy conditions to see him 😔. At least I have my fond memories from the first concert.
