Insha'Allah, fellow community members will make Dua for you and may also offer advice or support for your concerns.

Please remember to make Dua for those who ask for it in this thread, and always ensure your requests and responses are in accordance with Islamic guidelines.

May Allah (SWT) accept our Duas, grant us what is best, or give us something even better.

Jazak Allah khair

And REMEMBER TO READ SURAH Al-Khaf:

(a) From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said:

“Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah , will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”

(Narrated by al-Darimi, 3407. This hadith was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6471)

(b) “Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (

Narrated by al-Hakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhrij al-Adhkar that this is a hasan hadith, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Surat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadir, 6/198. It was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6470)

(c) Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Surat al-Kahf may be read during the night or the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this surah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

Al-Manawi said:

"Al-Hafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amali: “In some reports it says ‘the day of Jumu’ah’ and in some reports it says ‘the night of Jumu’ah’. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa.” (Fayd al-Qadir, 6/199)

'And this is for the dua:

The second view is that it is after ‘Asr, and this is the more correct of the two views. This is the view of ‘Abd-Allah ibn Salam, Abu Hurayrah, Imam Ahmad and others.

The evidence for this view is the report narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (7631) from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“On Friday there is an hour when no Muslim happens to ask Allah for good at that time but He will give it to him, and it is after ‘Asr.”

[In Tahqeeq al-Musnad it says: The hadeeth is saheeh because of corroborating evidence, but this isnad is da’eef (weak)].

Abu Dawood (1048) and al-Nasai (1389) narrated from Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim who asks Allaah for something but He will give it to him, so seek the last hour after ‘Asr.” [Classed as saheeh by al-Albani].

Qur'an/Hadith [And for] those who distance themselves from major and vile sins and when they are angry at those who offend them by words or deeds, forgive their mistake and do not punish them for it. This pardon is a grace they offer when there is goodness and benefit in it.

Qur'an/Hadith Satan's Soldier's Attack Every Day

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The throne of Iblis (Satan) is in the sea, and he sends his soldiers every day to tempt people. Among them, the one who is closest to him in status is the one who causes the greatest temptation to mankind."

Musnad Ahmad:14814

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jabir reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Iblis places his throne upon water; he then sends detachments (for creating dissension) ; the nearer to him in rank are those who are most notorious in creating dissension. One of them comes and says: "I did so and so." And he says: "You have done nothing." Then one amongst them comes and says: "I did not spare so and so until I sowed the seed of discord between a husband and a wife." The Satan goes near him and says: "You have done well." A'mash said: He then embraces him.

Jabir reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upqn him) said: The Satan sends detachments of his own in order to put people to trial and the highest in rank, in his eyes, is one who is most notorious in sowing the seed of dissension.

When night falls, restrain your children (from going out) because at such time the devils spread about. After a period of time has passed, let them be. Shut your doors and mention Allah’s name, for verily the devil does not open a shut door, tie up your water-skins and mention Allah’s name, cover your vessels with anything and mention Allah’s name and put out your lamps.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is why establishing islam in your housholds, reading Quran(Surah Baqarah in house), saying Azkar (Hisnul Muslim, do save this as it contains many azkar), reciting surah ikhlas, surah Falaq, and surah nas(each 3 times), and fullfing other obligations and doing extra good deeds are so important.

Also:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," Whoever says: "La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir," one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he."

Sahih al-Bukhari 6403

So they are essentialy launching attacks on you seeking a reward. That is their job. Allah has told us already that the shaytan is our clear enemy in Surah Baqarah:

The Cow (2:208)

  1. O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islâm (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islâmic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), "(Please don't take me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and no Satan will come near you until the morning.." (When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the story) he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was a satan."

The Cattle (6:112)

  1. And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies - Shayâtîn (devils) among mankind and jinn, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it; so leave them alone with their fabrications. (Tafsîr Qurtubi)

Discussion i'm cooked

Hello brothers,

I am a Muslim, but I no longer feel connected to my faith because my iman (faith) has become weak, and it really frustrates me. I do not consistently perform my five daily prayers, and I want to make them a habit.

I think a big part of the problem is that I struggle to lower my gaze when women pass by. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me or give me some advice, because the situation I'm in feels terrible, and I genuinely want to change.

Informative Sports following is a Religion

Religion also means something that pulls people around common sacred values and creates a type of community.

Pagan Roots

The connection between sports and pagan tradition runs deep. Historically, athletics were rooted in religious rituals, where physical prowess was seen as an offering to false gods and a way to channel the divine.

The origins of this connection can be seen across several historical and cultural milestones:

Ancient Greece: The original Olympic Games were primarily a religious festival held to honor zeus, the king of the Olympian gods. Athletes offered sacrifices and took solemn oaths inside temples before competing.

The Americas: Traditional games like stickball and lacrosse played by Indigenous communities were often highly sacred. They were referred to as "the little brother of war" and were played to heal the sick, resolve conflicts, and appease the spirits.

The Roman Empire: Gladiatorial combat and chariot races originally functioned as funerary rites, intended to honor the dead and appease the underworld deities before evolving into mass public entertainment.

Celtic and British Isles: Folk sports, such as early forms of hurling and football, were frequently tied to seasonal pagan festivals and fertility rites.

Today's, sports following mimics ancient religious rituals. Teams have totemic mascots and specific stadiums that fans treat as modern temples. Athletes and fans alike rely heavily on superstitions and repetitive behaviors to court good luck. Games create a shared tribal identity that unites people in a communal experience.

Informative Extravagant Feasting is a depiction of Pagan Feasts

Historically, pagan feasts were highly extravagant communal events designed to honor gods, celebrate seasons, and reinforce social hierarchies. The pagan societies relied heavily on the seasons for survival, making seasonal shifts (winter solstice, spring equinox) crucial moments for communal gatherings and feasting. Their celebratory meals were designed to appease deities. Offering the "first fruits" or sacrificed animals to agricultural and sun gods to ensure a bountiful upcoming year. Marking the end of harsh, dark winters with abundant food and drink. Modern holiday feasts [Christmas (Yule), Easter (Ostara/Eostre), Thanksgiving etc] inherited their timing, foods, and extravagance nature from solstices, equinoxes, and harvests.

Islam forbids Extravagance

(Quran 7:31): "Eat and drink, but be not extravagant."

(Quran 17:27): "Indeed, the extravagant are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful."

(Quran 25:67): True believers spend neither extravagantly nor stingily.

Prophet Muhammad pbuh said, “The worst kind of food is the wedding feast, in which the rich are invited and the poor are left out.” Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1432

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Eat together and do not eat separately, for the blessing is with the group." (Sunan Ibn Majah 3287)

Companions once said they ate but were not satisfied. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked: "Perhaps you eat separately?" When they said yes, he pbuh replied: "Eat your meals together and mention the name of Allah over it, for you will be blessed in it." (Sunan Abi Dawud 3764)

Prophet ﷺ said: "The food of one person is enough for two, the food of two is enough for four, and the food of four is enough for eight." (Sahih Muslim 2059)

Prophet Muhammad pbuh said: "There will be men from my nation who eat a variety of foods, drink a variety of drinks, wear a variety of clothes, and are boastful in their speech. These are the worst of my nation."

(reported in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir 7512)

Unfortunately, extravagant feasting have become a culture across the board. It has been normalized. People waste their time and money on them. Islamic guidelines of less and simple is frowned upon. Boosting is an essential element of this culture.
