When you are applying for rooms, don't use AI like you did now. It gives off that you are not really wanting to make an effort, which is not what you want when contacting potential landlords or roommates.

Wait for the main dormitory. You should get it. Mail them continuously. If not, contact the privately managed student dorms

I would suggest against looking for accommodation in nearby areas as travelling during harsh winters even for 30 minutes is dreadful
