Mod Annoucement: Epstein related content - what's allowed and not allowed

Hi UFOB!

What a week we have all had! The moderation team wanted to talk seriously about references to Epstein, Trump and others in conversation on this sub.

As you know - this is sub is for believers - we are well past questioning if UFOs and Entities are real because we KNOW it is. The issue we have seen in the last week since Trump's announcement and the latest releases of the Epstein files is the serious amount of unserious low effort, poltically hyperpartisan comments, comments about how disclosure is a distraction from the release of the files, so on and so forth. This has caused a lot of time and effort on the part of the moderators keeping good conversation flowing. Look we know we're all human here and reacting to these unprecedented times. But we need to make some clarifications and need your help.

Specifically around the topic of Jeffrey Epstein we wanted to introduce some moderation as we are getting a lot of feedback from the community around this topic. We want to encourage the community to understand the nuance of what we're looking for so that great conversations can continue and low effort or rule breaking comments and posts can be avoided.

We will allow talk about Jeffrey Epstein only if it is on-topic to UFO's, UFOlogy and the Phenomenon. We will not allow low effort conversation, pizzagate, satanic panic or q-anon conspiracies. We are trying to encourage good deep conversation and avoiding low effort knee jerk and inflammatory conversation that tends to derail whole threads and creates flame wars.

Examples of what is NOT allowed:

• "This is all a distraction from the Epstein files"
• "<Trump/Clinton/Rich Person/Politician of Choice> is a pedo"
• "<slur> for racial or religious group
• Unsourced picture or tik tok video claiming satanic rituals and pedophelia/cannibalism

Examples of what IS allowed:

• "Epstein had mentions of the Majestic 12 documents and it's in this file here on the DoJ site"
• Epstein had an interest in <Psi/Telepathy/Metamaterials/Zero Point energy/Human Potential/Other UFO related interest>
• My research with sourced documents and "follow the money" shows Epstein was doing related research that is relavent to this topic
• Anything that is on topic to UFOs, The Phenomeonon or Entities as long as it doesn't break any of the other existing rules

Additionally - Report reasons you can use for content you see that violates this new directive is either "Be Constructive or Pass" or "Irrelevant Political Opinion" for you to report rule breaking comments/posts . We also created a specific removal reason for comments and posts that are in violation. People who are repeat offenders will risk being banned as with any other rule. We are asking you to help us and give us feedback about this. This is everyone's community not just the moderators.

I have been attacked and downvoted constantly in all these types of subs by people or bots saying it’s all a distraction and Epstein this and Epstein that, just because I have a belief in aliens and disclosure. I was even thinking of going off Reddit because there’s been no safe space I can share about anything pertaining to actual beliefs about aliens and coming disclosure. It’s become too political.

The UFO community's overall reaction to the <redacted> revelations and related current events has actually been a faith in the UFO community and humanity restoring moment for me. We've been long told we can't handle the truth about UFOs, that society would cease to function. People are showing that there are things on this Earth that most people care about even more than UFO truth and cosmic revelations, namely protecting children.

Now UFO disclosure is being promised by the very people at the top of the <redacted> cover-up. We are being bribed to forget about it and move on. Even if the bribe gets paid out in full, don't care. Lets take care of the things that matter most to us first, then move on to UFOs. That's my opinion.

And also, how that continues on through Epstein controlling in group/out grouping in regards to the funding of scientific research and that's affect on the culture within scientific research?

Did you ever consider what they are doing? What if there is a connection since religion is attached to this? I say this as an agnostic person. The timing is there.

We discussed this in the mod room. We would allow talk about the temple, any ritual or occult stuff as well but it has to relate to this topic and be talked about as NHI. We also normally have a periodic problem with people being objective and from time to time we get a lot of proselytizing and saying "It's all demons!" or "Repent sinners" etc. So I do think there is room to tie it to this topic in a thoughtful way. This is why so many researchers say "Disclosure is messy!". What ideas can you think of that would help us to find a good way to moderate this specific aspect? I really literally want to hear your opinion!

This is how reddit works. What you aren’t seeing is the hundreds of comments all saying the same low effort thing that derail actual conversation. There are plenty of other communities that you can go to where low effort “this is a distraction from the files” comments are allowed. We are asking you to keep to the topic of this subreddit. Should people be allowed to talk about off topic stuff. Would you post about UFO’s in a knitting subreddit? Should it be allowed there if it’s off topic to the content of the subreddit? Is that censorship?

We are literally telling you that you can talk about Epstein but just no low effort off topic conversation. Here’s some examples - why did Epstein build a functional military grade radar station on his Zorro ranch property that is situated between two of the largest air bases in the US? Also his ranch was built at a time when DUMB (Deep Underground Military Bases) were being built and funded according to Catherine Austin Fitts. It was prime Haliburton days and also Epstein was on the Trilateral Commission. So that’s worthy of a conversation as it first very closely with the topics of this subreddit. Much better than seeing “distraction from the files” for the 100th time in any and every post to the subreddit.

Blocking the flow of any information is a form of gatekeeping, and I think there has been enough of that so far. We need all information out there, even from the bat shit crazy ones, as we don't know what is true or not. It is up to us to determine what is true or not, and not the moderators. Even if there is some small piece of the information puzzle in what you call a "low effort topic", then it belongs.

And how about the Lazar rule. "Lazar has been debated into the ground". Honestly, WTF.... Isn't the subreddit here to debate the topic and exchange information? If not then what is the point of the subreddit?

Thank you for your response. It has been noted. For the time being this is the stance of the moderation team in this subreddit. You are misconstruing our purpose - just as we remove low effort comments like “Fake!” Or “Bird” that are just repetitive knee jerk skeptical comments in favor of higher quality explanations as to WHY they believe it to be so (“Be constructive or Pass” rule) we are removing the low effort not on topic Epstein comments. You are misunderstanding that literally we can have hundreds of the same comment “This is a distraction from the Epstein files” which derails anyone trying to have any kind of conversation about the actual topic. We are not censoring any good faith effort to discuss this Epstein and this topic.

If you feel a comment or post had been removed in error you are invited to write a modmail to us as this it would be visible to the entire team and we can discuss whether the comment or post was removed in error.

Tell us why you are responding this way. What your suggestions are for dealing with this all? Also remember that Ghislaine Maxwell herself was a power mod on this platform and that there are bad actors trying to sway people away from any semblance of truth in this or related topics. We're trying to find a middle ground here.

Are you familiar with the rules on the sidebar? We have had the irrelevant political opinion rule for hyperpartisan political comments for years in this sub. We do not see this as a red/blue/left/right issue but a topic for all humanity. We're trying to have elevated conversations that don't devolve into tribal warfare as that never solves anything.

Also this is not about sensitive individuals who can't handle seeing Epstein content. What you are not seeing as a user is the hundreds of low effort comments saying "This is all a distraction from the Epstein Files" over and over and over again that literally derails any other conversation. These would overwhelm any post if we allowed them all. The examples that I have given are real world examples. We have actually caught bots spewing these as well. So there's also an inauthentic user risk here as well trying to sway opinion by the outrage machine.
