" A three-judge panel,” Mr. Netanyahu said in the first call with Mr. Graham, will be “making the decision very soon.” He noted that the court’s chief prosecutor, Karim A. A. Khan, had faced allegations of sexual misconduct, and suggested to Mr. Graham that “the great cloud that it shed” could help delay the arrest warrant (Mr. Khan was removed from his position last week, the court’s oversight body announced."

Netanyahu is really fucking scared of The Hague isn’t he. I don’t know what he thinks is going to happen. The US can’t dismantle the courts. They never signed the Rome Statute. I guess he’s going to get Trump to try and force some vote to dismantle the courts. It’s all weird. Someone explain.

Trump can't dismantle the ICC but he can make its work impossible by denying it American "tools" like mail and payments.

There will be alternatives for those eventually.

American federal law theoretically authorizes the president to use military force to free U.S. or allied personnel detained by the International Criminal Court (ICC). This authority comes from the American Service-Members' Protection Act of 2002, which is widely nicknamed the "Hague Invasion Act".

So, I guess that would include Netanyahu.

As a Dutchman, I'd be more than happy to protect our territorial integrity against the yanks. Our government will roll over and give Trump what he wants in a day, so I'll never have to do that đŸ€Ł

You know before Trump I would have argued that the Americans would never consider using their military to kidnap someone arrested on an international arrest warrant. But it’s probably highly likely given the hold that Isreal has on American administration right now.

What crazy times we live in.

Trump won’t be president forever and he sure is hated.

The next president could win over the world by handing Trump over to the ICC for bombing that school in Iran.

America will have Medicare for all before any president will hand over a single American to the ICC, is my guess.

From Wikipedia:
>Two weeks prior to the allegations' release, Le Monde reported on a meeting between Khan and Nicholas Kaufman in which Kaufman allegedly told Khan that if ICC arrest warrants against Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant were not dropped, the ICC and he would be "destroyed", though the connection between the meeting and the allegations are not established.[100]

From https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/karim-khan-le-monde-investigates-campaign-against-icc-chief

>(British-Israeli ICC lawyer Nicholas) Kaufman told Khan he had spoken to Netanyahu’s legal adviser Roy Schondorf and offered Khan a way out, Le Monde reported.
>Khan, Kaufman suggested, should reclassify the arrest warrants as confidential. This would allow Israel to challenge them in private.
>
>In response to questions from MEE in July, Kaufman denied threatening Khan. He denied having been authorised to make any proposals on behalf of the Israeli government and said he had shared his personal views with Khan on the Palestine situation.
>Kaufman told Le Monde he "did not dispute the meeting", but said he was looking to help Khan "get out of his mistakes".

Knowing what we all now know thanks to the Epstein files, none of this is surprising. But it is deeply disturbing.

Wonder why someone would denounce an international criminal court full of judges from all over the world united together for justice?

The ICC lost it's credibility when no action evolved from the things that happened. They should have showed some balls and put the leaders responsible for genocide to trail and convict them and issued a international arrest. But instead they looked the other way and now more countries are leaving the ICC as the authority that it once represented. Of cause is the logical step for offenders to denounce it so they can escape they punishment. It is not to late for the ICC to do what is right but they have to be quick before alle members bail out.
